The Lufrano gallery is currently hosting a multimedia exhibition titled Lost Springs. Images, sculptures, and film all come together to present the story of the Ocklawaha River and its springs, which were hidden away when the river was dammed.
The project is a collaboration between Matt Keene, a St. Augustine-based filmmaker, and Margaret Ross Tolbert, a Gainesville painter. The exhibition showcases a new film by Keene, titled Lost Springs. The film follows Tolbert and a crew of other artists and environmentalists as they explore the normally hidden springs along the Ocklawaha River.
The gallery is open now and the film will be shown at the Student Union auditorium on the following dates:
Thursday September 28th at 7 pm
Tuesday October 3rd at 7pm
Thursday October 12th at 12:30pm
